Who was our earliest ancestor and where did he originate from?
Ajrudin is the earliest ancestor we know of and could have been born around 1790 –
We know more of his wife, my Great Great Grandmother. She was a house slave in the Schickerling household in Keerom Street in Cape Town from about 1800 to emancipation. All her children, including my Great Grandfather, were born in Slavery.
